The Greater Windermere Community League (GWCL) will be offering a 4 week Sportball Program to its members. The program will run on Mondays, March 18th to April 15th with no classes on March 25 (Spring Break). There will be two offerings of the program, one at 6pm and one at 7pm. And will be offered at Constable Daniel Woodall Public School here in Windermere.
REGISTRATION LINK FOR 6PM CLASS; which is geared towards non school aged children who can walk & run with ease. The class will run from 6:00pm to 6:45pm.
The focus of the program will be on social interaction between children as well as improving gross and fine motor skills. The program requires parental supervision and you are NOT allowed to leave your child(ren) unattended. The program will focus on using gym equipment to play games and build motor skills and will rotate every week. Because social interaction is the focus, there will be an instructor to ‘lead’ the class but it will involve the parents to ‘play’ with their kids using the equipment (primarily balls). Due to the age of the children, we will leave lots of time for free play so that children can explore!
GWCL has contracted instructors from Sport Ball to host these classes and am able to offer them at a discount to our members. These classes normally cost $68 from Sportball but we will be offering the classes for $50 per child for the 4 weeks to our members. Please bring a cheque to the first class.
At this time, we can only offer this program to Greater Windermere Community League Members and their children under 12 years of age (elementary school aged). However, the structure of the programming is geared towards younger children under the age of 8.
Please fill out the form above by following the link to register your child(ren), ONE CHILD PER FORM. If you want to register two children, please fill out two forms. The forms for the 6pm and 7pm classes are separate so please ensure you are filling out the correct form.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will send you a confirmation email with all the details of your enrollment.
Please note that you must have indoor non marking sole shoes to use the gym and no food or drinks are permitted. However, there is a water fountain in the hallway just outside the gym.
