Exciting news about our Schools!

Two exciting developments with our schools!

1. Ambleside School has an official name! Margaret Ann Armour School!

Margaret Ann Armour is associate dean of the faculty of science at the University of Alberta. In briefing notes, the school board called her “Canada’s premier ambassador of science” and noted she has worked “tirelessly to encourage girls and young women to consider careers in the sciences and engineering.”

2.  The floor plans for the Catholic School (St. John 23 Catholic School) were released on the Edmonton Catholic Schools website.  Click here to view!

Thank you to Everyone who came to Windermere Day!

We figure that we had about 200 people attend and everyone seemed to really enjoy the FireTruck and the Edmonton Public Library Fun Tent.  Sadly the big bouncy castle didn’t get much use since the rain was pouring down.

Big thank you to our local businesses who came out and donated items for the day!

playgroundNew Pocket Playground

The GWCL is excited to share with you the plans for a new pocket playground (little playground) which is being planned for the “One At Windermere”. The pocket playground is being built by Beaverbrook Communities and looks like a great mini playground for children.

Ambleside Public School and Windermere Catholic School (St. John 23 Catholic School) have broken ground!

We are very excited to see that work  has begun on the school sites for the Ambleside Public School and the Windermere Catholic School.  According to the latest projections from our MLA Matt Jeneroux, we are on track for 2016 openings for the two schools. Windermere Public School is scheduled to be opening in September 2017.
